A Snowdonia pub after a day on the hill is half the point. These are the ones we've eaten in, drunk in, and where we know the car park situation.

Overnight pubs are marked. Always ring ahead, eat or drink there, and read pub stopover etiquette before you go.

Questions people ask

What is the best walk in Snowdonia for a first visit?

For a first big day, a Yr Wyddfa loop from Pen y Pass is hard to beat if you can get parked or catch the bus. For something gentler, the lakeside loops around Capel Curig give the big views for a fraction of the effort.

Can you sleep in a campervan at pubs in Snowdonia?

Some pubs allow it if you eat or drink there and ask first. The pubs marked overnight on this page are ones we've stayed at. Never assume, and ring ahead, especially in summer.

Is Snowdonia the same as Eryri?

Yes. Eryri is the Welsh name for the national park, and the one the park authority now uses. Yr Wyddfa is the Welsh name for Snowdon itself.
